LINE ALTERNATE METHODS FOR SHUTTER GLASS AND HEAD MOUNTED DISPLAY
Line alternate stereoscopic images reformat the right and left images so that they are interleaved on a line-by-line basis. Each line alternates between the right and left image. Many head mounted displays (HMD's) use this format.

If your graphics card can support interlaced video modes (most cards can), then line alternate images can be used to achieve high-speed page-flipping with shutter glasses.
